Dear CMS Families,

We are looking forward to connecting with you during upcoming parent-teacher conferences. In addition to meeting with teachers, there are two important tasks that students and families will need to complete while attending conferences.

Elective Requests for the 2026–2027 School Year
Students currently in 6th and 7th grade will be submitting their elective requests for the 2026–2027 school year. Families are encouraged to review these selections together, as parent approval is required for submissions to be finalized. Our current 8th grade students will be doing course requests at a later date with high school staff.

High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP)
Students currently in 7th and 8th grade will be completing their High School and Beyond Plan through SchooLinks. This planning process is an important step in preparing for future academic and career goals and also requires parent approval.

Conference week is a great opportunity to review these items together, ask questions, and ensure everything is completed accurately. More specific instructions will be available during conferences if needed.
