Mathematics

The study of mathematics is so much more than just numbers and symbols. It teaches logic, critical thinking, problem solving and can even influence a student’s achievements in other areas of learning. Math is one of the basic building blocks of a student’s education career and the Chehalis School District uses it as one of the key indicators of our progress toward our student achievement goals.

2025-2026 Elementary Building Goals

James W. Lintott Elementary (JLE) Goal: Students meeting their i-Ready Stretch Growth Goal will be 36% or higher for all students.

Orin C. Smith Elementary (OSE) Goal: Student groups will demonstrate 60% proficiency on spring state assessments. 25% of students in targeted subgroups will meet their i-Ready Stretch Growth Goal.

2025-2026 Secondary Building Goals

Chehalis Middle School (CMS) Goal: Students meeting their i-Ready Stretch Growth Goals will increase to 25% for all students.

W.F. West High School (WFW) Goal: 50% percent of graduates will meet their math pathway requirements either by achieving a score of Level 3 or higher on the SBA or through a dual credit course.
